History of Victoria Terrace, Leamington Spa

Designed by William Thomas, Victoria Terrace was erected in 1838 on the site of Robbin's Well. Robbin's Well was the original name for The Victoria Baths which, when opened in 1806, were named after the proprieter Mr F Robbins.  When Victoria Terrace was built, the baths were renamed Victoria Baths & Colonnade & occupied the northern end of the building. The baths used water from the fourth saline well, sunk in 1804.
